BulkSummit: A New Community for Bulk Landscape Supply

Aurora, CO – From January 15-17th 2026, 50 forward-thinking bulk supply and hauling professionals descended upon The Gaylord Rockies for the inaugural BulkSummit ’26. What began as a first-of-its-kind gathering to unite a fragmented industry quickly turned into friendly camaraderie and vibrant community.

From the moment attendees walked through the doors, the atmosphere was electric. This wasn’t just a conference; it was a reunion of like-minded individuals who, despite operating in isolation, instantly recognized each other in the work, dirt, and diesel.

The Heart of the Summit: Roundtable Deep Dives

A highlight for many were the roundtable breakout sessions. Shuffled seating made for more peer introductions, and focused discussions allowed attendees to go deep on critical topics, including:

  • Best Performing Products: Unpacking what truly sells, what drives margins, and new offerings on the horizon.
  • Supply Yard Layout: Optimizing traffic flow, managing inventory, and ensuring safety in bustling yards.
  • Multi-load Deliveries: Strategies for efficient split-gate operations and complex logistics.
  • Social Media & Local Marketing: Crafting effective digital and local outreach strategies to connect with customers.
  • Pivoting to Profit: Exploring new revenue streams and optimizing existing services using current infrastructure.
  • Drivers & Staffing: Tackling the challenges of hiring, training, and retaining top talent, especially CDL drivers.
  • Bulk Soil Production: The science and strategy behind creating high-quality, profitable soil mixes.

The insights shared during these sessions were invaluable, offering practical, actionable ideas that attendees are already eager to implement in their 2026 operations.

The Power of the Panel

The panel conversations challenged us to look at “what’s next” and how our companies present themselves going forward. We extend a sincere thank you to the panelists who led the room on subjects like “Marketing & Brand Building” and “All Things Customers.”

However, the standout session was undoubtedly “Practical AI for Bulk.” Dominick Cibrian of Missouri Organic Recycling delivered an insightful look into ways in which he’s pioneering AI projects at his firm. Then, developers from BulkDelivery PRO encouraged strategic organization of company data into a private knowledge base, stressing data security and foretelling a not-so-distant future that incorporates “agentic” behavior. Whether it’s customer service chatbots, internal AI assistants for staff training and SOP guidance, or autonomous agents that help to build out a customer’s cart for checkout- it’s a brave new world that warrants tinkering, but demands great care and attention.

[AI was such a hot topic… that we were ultimately disrupted by the fire alarm, forcing a momentary building evacuation! Thankfully after the all-clear, attendees hurried back to the conference room for a refreshing cocktail and continued conversation.]

A Luxurious Backdrop & Future Horizons

The organizing team at BulkSummit ‘26 set out to create a fun, welcoming environment- from custom t-shirts and tote bags to drink tickets and coordinated happy hour receptions. The Gaylord Rockies proved to be a luxurious setting with great food and entertainment offerings. However, wherever BulkSummit ‘27 takes us… we’re already envisioning ways to incorporate more “downtime” so everyone can more fully enjoy resort amenities. We’re open to building an atmosphere where spouses and families are encouraged to join for the available background fun!

The Power of Coming Together

One of the most profound takeaways from BulkSummit ’26 was the sheer value of in-person collaboration. Our industry – bulk landscape and outdoor construction material supply – is widespread yet often fractured. Too many professionals are “reinventing the wheel,” tackling challenges in isolation. While this fosters incredible ingenuity, the collective wisdom of this group is undeniably more powerful. When we aren’t directly competitive, why not come together to share, learn, and grow?

This conference was a huge step forward in building a genuine sense of community. We discovered a solid group of human beings- necessarily steady, reliable, and consistent in their work – who are genuinely excited to lean on each other, or grab a beer in the future.

Exclusive Access: Don’t Get Left Behind

If you weren’t in the room, you’ll have to consider joining us next time. To protect the competitive advantage of participants, we’re keeping the most critical insights internal to the community.

Full conference materials – including detailed roundtable summaries, the complete attendee contact directory, and critical panel insights – are being made available to attendees only via a private digital vault.

Building Momentum: Join the Movement

Online Community- the conversations shouldn’t stop just because the summit is over. We’ve established a Reddit forum for ongoing peer consultation. Bring your questions and input to our industry niche at: https://www.reddit.com/r/BulkLandscapeSupply/

To grow the BulkSummit platform, and keep ticket costs reasonable for next year, we are seeking strategic sponsors who align with forward-looking industry needs. Potential partners include:

  • Software platforms (CRM, dispatch, inventory, fleet tracking)
  • Truck or dump bed manufacturers
  • Front loader or equipment manufacturers
  • Fuel card companies
  • Digital marketing/web agencies
  • Workwear brands

Looking Ahead to 2027- We’re already considering doubling the roundtable sessions and introducing fast-paced storytelling presentations (20 slides x 20 seconds each) during cocktail hour.

How will you get involved? What improvements made in 2026 will you be ready to share?

All in all, BulkSummit ’26 was an undeniable success. We had some fun, made some new friends and industry contacts, shared innovative ideas, and laid the groundwork for exciting revenue opportunities in 2026. A much-needed forum has been established, founded on trust and a shared mission of efficiency, profitability, and community in the world of bulk landscape supply.

The community has been built, the wheel no longer being reinvented in isolation. If your business is mulch, soil, compost, gravel, sand, stone, or firewood- won’t you join us next time?

Stay tuned for details on BulkSummit ’27, we can’t wait to do it again!
